Which AI model is inside Mia OS, and why does it matter?

Mia OS builds working software from what you describe in plain language. But what is actually under the bonnet? And why does it hardly matter to you?

What is an AI model, exactly?

In short, an AI model is a system trained on enormous amounts of text and code. That training has taught it how people write, reason and solve problems. And, most importantly for Mia OS, it has learned how software works.

You can compare it to a very experienced craftsman who has spent years watching how others build. He doesn't have to reinvent the wheel each time: he recognises patterns, knows what works and applies that to your specific situation.

What makes it special is that you can simply talk to such a model. You describe what you need, and the model understands what you mean, even if you don't know the technical term.

How does Mia OS use such a model?

Mia OS is built on top of advanced AI language models. When you give an instruction, such as "I want a form where customers can book an appointment", Mia translates it behind the scenes into concrete instructions for the model.

The model then writes the code needed, checks it, adjusts it where necessary and hands the result back to Mia OS. Mia OS then makes sure the code really works: it puts the software live on a server, tests that everything is right and reports back to you.

You only see the beginning and the end of this whole process: your request, and the working result.

One model or several?

Mia OS uses several AI models, each good at something different. Understanding your request, planning the approach, writing code, checking for errors: each of these steps can be handled by a different, specialised model.

It is like a good team: one person doesn't do everything, each specialist takes the part they do best. The result is more reliable and faster than when everything rests on the shoulders of a single model.

For you as a user, this makes no difference at all to how you work. You simply say what you want, and Mia OS takes care of the rest.

What does this mean for the quality of what Mia builds?

The quality of the end result depends on three things:

  • The model itself: how well it has been trained and how recent its knowledge is
  • The instructions Mia OS sends with it: Mia gives the model very specific context about your project
  • The checks afterwards: Mia OS verifies that the software it built really does what was asked

Mia OS is designed not to trust a model's first output blindly. It checks, corrects and, where needed, asks for clarification, either from you or from the model itself. That makes the result more reliable than asking an AI model to write code directly.

Do you need to know any of this?

No. And that is deliberate.

Mia OS is built for people who simply want to get something done, such as a tool for their team, an online shop or a customer portal, without having to understand which AI model is running behind the scenes. Just as you don't need to know what engine is in a taxi to get from A to B.

What is useful to know: AI models are very capable, but not infallible. That is why Mia OS builds in checks at every step. And if something still isn't quite right, you can say so in plain language, and Mia picks it up and fixes it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose which AI model Mia OS uses?

In most cases, no, and you don't need to. Mia OS automatically picks the most suitable model for each task. The aim is always the best result for you, not a display of technical choices.

What if an AI model makes a mistake?

Mia OS has built-in checks that catch errors before you see the result. If you still come across something that isn't right, just describe it in plain language and Mia OS will pick it up and correct it.

Are my requests and data used to train AI models?

No. What you build and describe in Mia OS is not used to retrain external AI models. Your project data stays yours.
