Take your app live on the internet

One switch and your app is on the internet. Anyone with the link can open it, even without a Mia OS account.

The live strip

On the left sits a narrow tab reading live. Click it and the strip slides open: all apps currently running, with their status.

Settings behind the gear

Behind an app's gear icon are its settings. At the top sits the live address your app can be reached on — something like `yourapp-yourname.mia-automation.com`. The switch next to it turns it on or off.

Your own domain name

Want your own domain, say `plants.mycompany.com`? Enter it and click connect. Mia then arranges the security certificate herself, so your address works over `https://`.

At your domain registrar you only need to point the address at Mia — Mia shows exactly which value to enter.

Frequently asked questions

Is live the same as shared?

No. Live means reachable through a link. Sharing via the App Store is a separate step — see part 07.

Can I take it offline again?

Yes, with the same switch. The address stays reserved afterwards.
