What is Mia Connect?

One place for everything you do together

Mia Connect is the collaboration layer of Mia OS. You'll find it in two places: as a button at the top right of your bar and as an app on your home screen. Both open the same screen, with three tabs:

• Connections — who is linked to your Mia, and what may you do at each other's end?
• Build together — work on one app with several people, without anything going wrong.
• Notifications — what happened while you weren't watching.

Connections between Mias, not between accounts

Every Mia OS user picks their own Mia address, like @Daan. Connecting works with a short code: you create it, the other person enters it in their own Mia, done. There is no shared password and no account linking — your Mias talk to each other through a secured central point, and only about what you explicitly share.

What you can do with it

A connection is the starting point; what you do with it is up to you:

• Private sharing — publish an app for your connections only, invisible to the rest of the world.
• Build together — give someone a role in one of your apps and let them send in build requests.
• Stay informed — an invitation, a finished request or a new connection: you see it right away.

You stay in control

Rights are set per connection and per person, separately on both sides: you decide what they may do at your end, they decide what you may do at theirs. You can break a connection at any moment — shared apps then disappear on their side, and nothing remains that you didn't approve yourself.
