Connecting to another Mia

Making a connection takes less than a minute: an address, a code, and your Mias know each other.

Pick your Mia address

Open Mia Connect (the button at the top right or the app on your home screen). The first time, Mia asks you to pick a Mia address, like @Daan. That's the name others know your Mia by — short, unique and no fuss with email addresses.

Invite with a code

  1. Open Mia Connect and choose Invite someone.
  2. Mia creates a short code, like ABCD-1234. It's valid for 24 hours.
  3. Send the code through your own channel — a message, an email, or just out loud.
  4. The other person picks Enter code in their Mia Connect and fills it in.

That's it — the connection is live, visible on both sides under Connections.

Set what you may do at each other's end

Click a connection and you'll see the rights switches. They work separately on both sides: you decide what they may do at your end, they decide what you may do at theirs. Almost everything is off by default — granting more is always a deliberate choice, never a surprise.

Disconnecting is always possible

Every connection has a button to break it. Do that and privately shared apps disappear on their side and all exchange stops immediately. Whatever lives in your own Mia simply stays yours.

Frequently asked questions

What if my code expires?

A code is valid for 24 hours. Expired? Just create a new one — it's free and takes seconds.

Can someone connect to me without me knowing?

No. A connection only happens when one side creates a code and the other deliberately enters it.

How many connections can I have?

As many as you like. Every connection has its own rights, so many connections doesn't mean less control.
