Having a WordPress website made means someone else builds your site in WordPress, and you keep it up to date afterwards. For makers, that's where the real question sits: who adds the new tour dates, last night's photos, the ticket link? WordPress can handle all of that. The work isn't in the building — that takes a few weeks. It's in the years after.
When is WordPress the right choice?
If your site is mostly text, images and a handful of pages, and you want to be able to get in yourself, WordPress is fine. It's been around a long time, there's plenty out there for it, and you're not tied to one builder.
It gets harder when your site has to do something every week. A tour list that's actually correct, ticket links that work, a press kit you can forward in one go. That's when the plugins pile up and the whole thing gets slow and fragile.
If WordPress is the long way round for you, I'll say so. Then I won't build it.
Why is a maker's site never finished?
An agency delivers and moves on to the next client. For you, that's when it starts: new dates, a cancelled night, a different line-up, yesterday's photos.
That work always lands at the wrong moment. Between soundcheck and coffee, or late at night when everyone else is asleep.
That's the difference. Not how the site looks on delivery day, but who keeps it running once the season is on.
What do I do differently from an agency?
I build your site and then I stay. You send me a message — new date in Tilburg, tickets via this link — and it's on there.
I work in Dutch, English and French, because you don't only play at home. And I keep an eye on the dull things: links that break, updates, a page that won't load on a phone in the venue.
You don't have to learn any technical language. Say it the way you'd say it to your booker.
How does it start?
You tell me what your site has to do every week and what you're currently keeping up to date by hand. I turn that into a sketch: what I'd build, what you can do yourself afterwards, and what I take off your plate.
If there's nothing in it that helps you, you'll hear that from me. A sketch costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.

Can I still get into my own WordPress site?
Yes. It stays your site on your domain, and you can always go in yourself. You just don't have to.
I already have a WordPress site. Does it need rebuilding?
Usually not. I look at what's there first and fix what's stuck, before anything new gets built.
Does my site need to be multilingual?
If you play abroad, yes. Dutch, English and French come with it from the start, not as a separate job later.
